On January 9 and 10, «Astana» held its first new year home series in the framework of the regular Championship of the National League. Kokshetau basketball team «Sinegorye» visited the capital.
These were the third and fourth games with the Kokshetau team this season. The first two games were held on November 1 and 2, and then “Astana” won two devastating victories over rivals.
On January 9, «Astana» took the initiative in the first quarter and completely controlled the course of the games. The advantage of our team grew with every minute, and the players of “Astana” were extremely active and productive and by the end of the match reached a hundred points. As a result, the capital team defeated rivals with a score of 101: 60.
The game on January 10 almost completely repeated the game on the eve: “Astana” dominated the entire match and once again defeated the rivals from Kokshetau, repeating the result of the previous day — 101: 58.
On January 9, Rustam Yergali, Nikolay Bazhin, and Stephen Holt became the top scorers or the game, and on January 10, Michael Jenkins, Alexander Zhigulin and Kenneth Horton scored the most points.
