«Astana» wins «Barsy» in the first match of the home game series

In Astana, the first home game of the National League among men's basketball teams has been held between «Astana» and the club from Atyrau.

The beginning of the match, as the whole first period, in general, was intense. The teams struggled for the ball in every rebound, in every attack. As a result, the first quarter ended with a score of 18:15 in favor of the hosts. The second period has already begun to settle the game. Whereas guests were not so good in attack, «Astana» demonstrated a more productive game, which resulted in a margin of up to 10 points. At the end of the second period, the score became 32:22 in favor of the capital club.

The next two final periods also were under the control of the hosts. Although the opponent tried to reduce the difference in the score, «Astana» controlled the situation and answered with accurate shots to every effective attack of Atyrau team. The match ended with a score of 72:65, another victory in the series of games of the regular Championship of Kazakhstan was celebrated by the capital team.

Larry Gordon became the best player of the match, who scored 19 points, Rustam Ergali brought the team 12 points and Anatoly Kolesnikov and Anthony Clemmons had 11 points.
