This Sunday, on April 2, Astana players will have another game on a road against  Krasnoyarsk «Yenisei» in the framework of the VTB United League championship.

It was with this team «Astana» on its home court made a real sensation. For the first time in all the seasons, Astana played two overtimes, but this was not an end of the drama. In the last seconds, Robert Lowery makes a «mad» shoot and bring home the bacon for “Astana.” The team from Krasnoyarsk remembers this game and will do its best to take revenge.

As for the opponent, «Yenisei» team is on the 7th place in the standings, with an asset of 10 wins with 10 defeats. For «Astana», which is in the playoff zone now and takes the 8th place, this game will become one of the most crucial, and in order to enter the top eight our team needs only one victory.

The regular championship of VTB United League comes to a playoff stage, which means that each game will be played on the edge and has a paramount importance for all the teams without exception.

Ilias Papatheodorou, the main coach of “Astana”, commented on preparations for the upcoming game:
- «Yenisei» is a team with a deep bench and skilful performers. We need to play above our limits in order to be competitive in this game.
