The games took place in Atyrau on October 18 and 19, where Astana showed composure, confidence, and depth across both encounters.
The opener began a little scrappy, but Astana quickly took control and never looked back. By the end of the first quarter, the visitors had built a commanding lead — 13:28. The second and third quarters were more evenly matched (19:21, 15:14), yet Ramūnas Čvirka’s side closed out strong, dominating the final stretch — 14:24. Final score: 61–87 to Astana.
Robert Pan was the standout performer with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Newcomer Eric Day impressed in his debut with 23 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Askar Maidykin added 13 points and 5 rebounds.
Astana looked even sharper in the rematch, dictating the tempo from start to finish. The visitors won all four quarters — 12:25, 19:28, 22:24, 11:22 — and never allowed Barsy a way back into the contest.
Once again, Eric Day led the charge, posting a double-double of 22 points and 10 assists.
