Following the results of the official draw, Basketball Club Astana will take part in the upcoming FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL), competing in the West Asia League division.
Astana’s group-stage opponents will be:
- Al Riyadi Beirut (Lebanon)
- Al Difaa Al Jawi SC (Iraq)
- Al Wahda SC (Syria)
- Sagesse SC (Lebanon)
- Shardari Gorgan (Iran)
The regular season is set to begin on 13 October 2025 and will run through to May 2026.
At the end of the group stage, the top teams will qualify for the FIBA WASL Final 8. The playoff format includes best-of-three semi-finals and finals. Additionally, teams finishing 3rd and 4th in their groups will have a chance to qualify for the Final 8 through play-in matches against teams from the FIBA Gulf League.
Participation in the tournament marks a major step for Astana in its international season and offers another opportunity to showcase the strength and potential of Kazakh basketball on the FIBA stage.
