Roman Baibolov, a 19-year-old shooting guard, has joined the team from Astana Tigers. Last season, he played 29 games, averaging 13.7 points, 2 assists, and 5 rebounds per game. Roman was also part of the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders camp in 2023 and currently plays for Kazakhstan’s youth national team.

Askar Serimbet is returning to Astana-Zhastar after spending last season with Astana Tigers. The point guard previously played for the club and brings experience from 28 games in the Higher League, where he averaged 5.6 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game. He’s also a member of the Kazakhstan youth national team.

The club has also extended its partnership with Gleb Yesenzholov, a promising young centre and the youngest player on the squad. Gleb appeared in 19 games last season in the Kazakhstan U-21 Championship.
