«Astana» played the second and final match of the March series at the Baluan Sholak Palace in Almaty against MBA.

Before the start of the match, a moment of silence was held in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack at Moscow's «Crocus City Hall».

Despite the return of Devin Davis (who, however, had not fully recovered from a back injury), the match ended with a score of 54:76 in favor of the Moscow team, which won its fourth consecutive victory.

The leaders of the Kazakhstani club were Carvel Anderson (21 points, 5 rebounds), Devin Davis (10 points, 8 rebounds), and Markell Johnson (10 points).

First and foremost, we managed to handle the leaders of «Astana,» and it was predominantly our defensive play that secured this win for us, as our offensive efforts were somewhat lacking. Following our defensive efforts, we capitalized on fast breaks, effortlessly scoring baskets. The most important thing is that we really followed through on the defensive game plan we wanted to play,» said the visiting team's head coach, Vasily Karasev, after the match.

The competition for the play-in continues: now «Astana» will face an away series against «MINSK» (March 27) and «Avtodor» (March 31), after which Fotis Takianos's team will return to their home arena in the capital of Kazakhstan — a home game with «Runa» will take place on April 4.
