Astana's head coach Fotios Takianos commented on the game against «Parizh Nizhny Novgorod.»

“I knew it wouldn’t be easy. In the few days since I've been here, we've tried hard to build something new, but it was challenging due to the constrained preparation time, particularly with half of our team committed to national team duties.

At the start of the game, our game rhythm was off, but as we moved into the second quarter, we began to find our pace, playing according to our defensive strategy and accumulating points. Unfortunately, towards the end of the first half, Davis got injured and couldn’t continue playing. We really missed him since he was a key player outside our defensive scheme, and in the second half, we couldn't implement our game plan.

We need time to build something new. I want to thank the fans and assure them that we will definitely improve in the future.”
