A victory at the dunk contest!

The VTB United League All-Star Game took place at the VTB Arena in Moscow, where four basketball players from «Astana» participated for the first time in history.

Royce Hamm, Markell Johnson, and Karvel Anderson were part of the team of the former coach of «Astana», Emil Rajkovic, who now leads the Moscow CSKA. Additionally, Anderson and another player from the capital club, Jordan Skipper-Brown, participated in the three-point and dunk contests, respectively.

Karvel Anderson started with 25 points in the three-point contest and made it to the final, but in the decisive round, he lost to Bo Beach from «Yenisey» (14 against 20).

However, Jordan Skipper-Brown won a beautiful victory in the dunk contest, performing his dunk in a Kazakh national chapan and headgear «tyaq». He received 99 points after two attempts for his bright performance, leaving no chance for his rival – Evgeny Belyankov. It's worth noting that this is the first victory of an Astana representative in the history of the VTB United League All-Star Games.

The game between the teams of Emil Rajkovic and Javier Pascual ended with a victory for the latter with a score of 120:134 (28:31, 31:35, 32:24, 29:44). Royce Hamm emerged as «Astana's» top performer in the game, being on the court for 12 minutes and 6 seconds. In that time, he managed to score 8 points, secure 5 rebounds, and achieve 3 steals.

Famous compatriots came to cheer on the players from the Kazakh club, including actor Askar Ilyasov and the model and artist Aya Shalkar.
