The U-16 Kazakhstan youth national team and the farm team of Astana have completed their training camp in the Serbian city of Zlatibor, which took place from July 25 to August 7.
In September, the Kazakh U-16 youth team will participate in the U-16 Asia Cup in Qatar. With the support of the SportQory Sports Support Fund, it was the first international training camp held for young Kazakh players.
The team played several games, losing to the Milesevac Priepole team (54:62) but defeating the Dubai National Team (102:41), Zlatibor Academy (66:58), and the Sevojno National Team (79:63).
The Astana farm team, which will participate in the Kazakhstan National League in the upcoming season, won twice against the Uzice national team (85:80 and 87:84), as well as against the Cacak national team (96:81) and the Arila team (106:56).
Young Kazakh basketball players had the opportunity to train and play friendly games in one of the world's strongest basketball nations for the first time – it's worth noting that the Serbian national team recently won the U-18 European Youth Championship.
All set goals were achieved. Both teams have returned to the capital, and the training process will continue at the Astana Academy's training facility.
