Martin Krampl is now a player of Astana!

Slovenian forward Martin Krampl has signed a contract with «Astana» and will help the capital club in the upcoming West Asian Super League.

He was born on March 10, 1995, in Ljubljana. He started playing basketball in his home country and participated in the U-18 European Championship for the Slovenian youth team 2012.

Later, he moved to the United States, where he initially played at the high school level in Sarasota, Florida. From 2015 to 2019, he spent his college career as part of the Creighton University team, where many famous basketball players, including renowned player and coach Paul Silas, San Antonio Spurs star Doug McDermott, and former Astana player Jeffrey Groselle, began their journey.

After returning to Slovenia in 2019 after college, the player signed his first professional contract with Olimpija from Ljubljana. He subsequently played for European clubs such as Andorra, GTK Gliwice, and Ilirija.

In the fall of 2021, Krampl returned to the United States, signing a contract with a team in the NBA G League, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He played 41 games for the Miami Heat's affiliate team, averaging 9.6 points per game.

During the 2022/23 season, Martin primarily played for the Polish team MKS Dabrowa Gornicza, averaging 15.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in 22 matches.

Krampl's most recent team was Basket Scafati from the Italian city of the same name. The player's height is 206 centimeters.
