Carvel Anderson is now a player of Astana!

Astana has signed a contract with American guard Carvel Marquis Anderson.

He was born on June 3, 1991, in Elkhart, Indiana. Basketball and hard work have allowed him to journey from a boy who worked part-time at a factory after school to a professional with experience in multiple strong European championships.

After he was noticed while playing for the Glen Oaks college team, Carvel transferred to Robert Morris Colonials in 2012, which is in the NCAA Division I. He played so well that at the end of his final season with the team, he was named the Conference Player of the Year.

After completing his performance for a college team in 2014, Carvel joined his first professional club — Italy's Andrea Costa Imola. He particularly stood out in February 2016 when he scored 45 points in a match against Liofilchem Roseto in the second division of Italy (although Carvel's team lost 74-78).

He then played for Germany's Eisbären Bremerhaven, French teams Boulazac and Gravelines-Dunkerque, Spain's Fuenlabrada, and Turkey's Büyükçekmece.

It is worth noting that the legendary guard of the capital club, Jerry Johnson, played for the same Turkish club after leaving Astana. However, they did not cross paths with Anderson: our newcomer played for Büyükçekmece in 2020-2021, while Johnson played four years earlier.

Carvel has often succeeded in making many long-range shots per game. For example, in a match against Fos-sur-Mer in the French championship, the Gravelines-Dunkerque player made 12 three-pointers.
Anderson's previous club was Italian Tezenis Verona, where he played from 2021. In the last season, he averaged 14.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

The player's height is 188 centimeters.
