Astana played the second match in the group stage of the Cup of Kazakhstan in Atyrau.
Oleg Kiselyov's team defeated Almaty IRBIS — 66:82.
Even though according to the results of the first half, the gap for the capital club could not be called significant, the situation changed for the better in the second half. Rustam Murzagaliev (20 points, 3 assists, 3 steals), Oleg Balashov (13 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals), Askar Maidekin (10 points, 7 rebounds), and Vadim Shcherbak (13 points) were the most efficient in Astana team.
Robert Pan (16 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals) played exceptionally well in the Almaty team.
Now in the semi-finals of the Cup, Astana will play with Aktobe, while IRBIS will meet with Barsy Atyrau. Both games will take place on Friday, February 10th.
