Astana presents the coaching staff of the farm team in the upcoming season.

TheRussian specialist Mikhail Lonshakov will lead the youth team, and the well-known center Anton Ponomarev will become a playing coach.

Mikhail Valeryevich was born on May 2, 1978 in Perm. Since 2010, he has been working with young basketball players in Kaspiy, and in the 2021/22 season, he led the club's main team, which mainly consisted of young players.

Anton Yurievich was born on October 31, 1988, and his hometown is Kostanay. He began his career in the Tigers of Astana, where he became the champion of Kazakhstan 6 times and won the Cup of the country three times. In 2010-2011, he played for the Serbian FMP and the Russian Spartak-Primorye, where he became the champion of the Super League.

After Astana club foundation, he joined the capital club, where he spent 7 years, winning 6 national champion titles and the national Cup as many times. He is twice the best Kazakhstani player of the VTB United League (2013, 2016).

In 2018, Ponomarev announced his retirement, but a year later, he returned: first, he signed a contract with Tobol, and after that he spent a season in Astana and again became the champion of Kazakhstan and the owner. Since 2021, Anton Yuryevich has been playing for Aktobe.
