On October 31 and November 1, the basketball club «Astana» will hold another away series of games in the National League, our guys will play against Aktau «Kaspiy» for the first time in the season of the National League. The matches will be held in Aktau, the beginning of the first game at 18:00, and the second game will start at 20:00, Nur-Sultan time.
«Kaspiy» is a Kazakhstani professional men's basketball club from the city of Aktau.

The Aktau team did not renew contracts with all foreign players last season. Americans Colin Doherty and Eugene Artison, as well as Russian players Roman Lagutin and Denis Orlenko had left «Kaspiy». In addition, three Kazakh players moved to other Kazakh clubs: Gleb Zhukov moved to Kostanay “Tobol”, Roman Marchuk moved to “Barsy Atyrau”, and Denis Degtyarev this season defends the colors of the new Almaty team “SC Qazaqstan” in the Major League. Also for this season “Kaspiy” did not announce three young players — Zhanibek Dzhakauov, Danil Ochnev and Danil Chiviku. Vladimir Kurochkin, Aimurat Satkeev, Alexander Orazbekov, Valery Simonov, Magzhan Sarsengaliev, Danil Davletbaev, Shakhmurat Satkeev and Artem Rolgeizer extended their contracts with the Aktau team. Two Russian players will make their debut in the Championship of Kazakhstan as part of “Kaspiy”. Alexander Kalenov is an experienced guard. Alexander has performed exclusively for Russian teams — “Altai Basket”, “Tambov”, “Revda”, “Temp-SUMZ-UMMC”, “Ural”, “Metallurg” and “Neftekhimik”. Young Russian center Semyon Pinaev once played in the youth teams of CSKA and became the Champion of Russia in the U-17 category, and spent the last four years in the Russian student league “ASB”. Also, the representative of Uzbekistan, the center Bakhtiyor Nasriddinov, moved to “Kaspiy” from “Aktobe”, and forward Konstantin Neff moved from “Tobol”.
Head coach: Russian specialist Mikhail Lonshakov, as part of the coaching staff of “Kaspiy”,was promoted to a head coach. In recent seasons, he worked as an assistant head coach in the Aktau team, and also trained “Kaspiy 2”.
History of games: “Astana” and “Kaspiy” have met 69 times, and the capital team outplayed rivals in 66 games. “Kaspiy” twice outplayed the second squad of our team and once they managed to win the main squad.
Leaders of the rivals: After two games, the main driving force of the Aktau team is the Russian newcomers Semyon Pinaev and Alexander Kalenov. Both players spend an average of 30 minutes on the court and score over 10 points per match. Kazakhstani players Konstantin Neff and Valery Simonov also gain about ten points per match.
Tournament position: “Astana” confidently occupies the first line in the standings, and “Kaspiy” is still with no victories and closes the rating of teams.
