Hordur Wilhalmsson leaves Astana

Basketball club «Astana» officially announces the termination of the contract with the 29-year-old Icelandic guard Hondur Vilhalmsson. The contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

The player of Iceland's National Team joined «Astana» this season. Previously, Hondur played in clubs in Spain, Greece, the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Italy.

During the time spent in the club, Vilhalmson played 7 games in the regular season of the VTB United League. On average, he gained 4.9 points per game, making 0.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists.

Basketball club «Astana» would like to thank Hordur for his performance in the club and wishes him every success. The American guard Malcolm Grant who had a good performance in first half of this season in the Lithuanian team «Nevezis», will replace Wilhalmsson.
