Victory and Defeat in Pavlodar

«Astana Academy» finished an away series in Pavlodar, winning the first match against Ertis (76:90) and conceding in the second (86:77).

Despite Ertis occupying the bottom line in the standings, the hosts managed to give a tough run to the capital club. In the first game, the outcome was only decided in the final quarter when Mikhail Lonshakov's team secured a comfortable lead.

As for the next match, the Pavlodar club, after a shaky start in the first ten minutes, managed to win the second and third quarters. This helped the guests keep the advantage in the final stretch of the match and secure their first victory of the season.

In the lineup of «Astana Academy,» notable performances include Valery Likhodey (32+10 points, 5+5 rebounds, 7+1 assists, 2+3 steals), as well as Igor Kanigin (11+23 points, 3+14 rebounds), Alexander Orazbekov (9+16 points), and Valery Simonov (11+10 points, 5+6 rebounds).

Unfortunately, the series was not without injuries: in the first match, Zakhar Medovskoy got injured, and in the second, Valery Likhodey. Amirali Suleimenov is also still recovering.
