The matches of the Kazakhstan National League are returning to Astana! On January 17th and 18th, Oleg Kiselev's team will play against Aktobe!
This club was founded in August 2017 with the support of the region's Akimat. In the 2018/19 season, the club became the champion of the Higher League, and in the 2019/20 season debuted in the National League.
Despite currently being in last place in the tournament table, the opponent should not be underestimated: when the farm team Astana, reinforced with players from the main squad, played on the road, the Aktobe players were able to impose a struggle and win in both matches.
Players to watch in the opponent's team are Russians Boris Nazmutdinov (12.6 points per game, 4.7 goal assists per game) and Ivan Rusecki (11.5 points and 3.1 assists per game), and American Darius Williams (7.8 rebounds per game).
Also ,Konstantin Nef, who started the season in Astana, may play at the Saryarka arena this week.
