Tonight «Astana» receives «PARMA-PARI» from the city of Perm.
 
The club was founded in 2012. During this time, the team twice became the owner of the Russian Cup and one more time — the bronze medalist of the tournament.
 
She has been playing in the VTB United League «Parma» since 2016, and for the last two seasons she has reached the quarterfinals of the competition.

«Astana» won the long-awaited first victory in the current draw of the VTB United League.

The home match against PARMA-PARI from Perm ended in triumph for the hosts — 84:72.

The leaders of the Kazakh team were Daniil Aksenov (18 points, 4 out of 7 3-pointers), Mike Myers (18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 out of 8 free throws), and Valery Likhodey (17 points, 5 assists).

Permians scored Pavel Antipov (19 points, 6 rebounds) and Malik Dime (10 points, 8 rebounds).

Thus, the capital club has increased the lead over Perm in the game statistics  - seven wins against five. At the same time, today's victory over PARMA-PARI was the first for Astana since December 2020.

«We played very softly in defense, allowed the opponent to attack from a distance, and lost rebounds. Likhodey and Myers scored difficult goals and allowed Astana to feel confident, and then the shooters began to attack from the perimeter. We reacted late, there was no communication, and we didn't play collectively. In the fourth quarter, when there was already a big difference, we conceded 15 points. So we had to play defense the whole game. But they could not score many shots. This game is a serious lesson for us. We'll come home, fix the mistakes, and be ready for the next game».
   
UNICS will be the opponent in the next game, which Astana plays on the road. The game will take place this Sunday.
