In 2009, Oleg Kiselev worked in the coaching staff of the Kazakhstan national team, leading it to 9th place at the Asian Championship. For 8 years of coaching career in Kazakhstan, Kiselev won the gold of the championship of Kazakhstan (2016) and won bronze 4 times (2009, 2012, 2013, 2014).
In the 2015/2016 season, at the head of the Barca team from Atyrau, they became the first in the National League of Kazakhstan.
In January 2017, Kiselev became the head coach of the Avtodor youth team. Under his leadership, the Saratov youth team won 6 wins with 12 losses and, according to the results of the Final Eight, finished in 6th place in the VTB United Youth League.
At the end of the season, Kiselev returned to Kazakhstan, where he signed a contract with the Almaty Legion
In 2020, Kiselev was part of the coaching staff of the Kazakhstan national team.
