The Presidential Basketball Club “Astana” and the American guard Isaiah Whitehead terminated the contract by mutual agreement.
Isaiah signed a contract with «Astana» on October 10 and in two months in the capital team, he took part in eight matches, five of which were part of the VTB United League and three games in the National League.
Whitehead spent an average of just over 20 minutes of playing time on the court in both tournaments. In terms of performance, he was better in the matches of the Championship of Kazakhstan, gaining an average of 12.7 points, while in the VTB United League this figure was 9.6 points. As for the work under the ring, Isaiah picked up the ball an average of 3.4 times per match in both tournaments. The situation is similar to the average steal index — 3 per game. Special attention deserves his role as an assistant, namely in the championship of Kazakhstan — an average of 7 assists per match and the current record of the National League — 11 assists in one of three matches against «Aktobe». In the VTB United League, Isaiah was less generous in assists — 2.8 on average per game.
Isaiah, of course, most of all will be remembered by the fans for his victorious three-pointer in the over-time of a home game with St. Petersburg “Zenit” in the last seconds of the match.
